Jamarr facilitates Emerald City Kickball’s internal and external communications including digital channels, branding materials and collateral design, and media relations. Jamarr focuses on building the Emerald City Kickball brand’s reputation through marketing and public relations programs in collaboration with other Committee members. He acts as the main point of contact for any external press interactions.

Jamarr brings experience working as Asia Pacific VP, Brand Planning at Essence Global where he guides the world’s leading marketers in the best strategies to grow their brands, nurture existing audiences, and identify new opportunity. It’s no wonder his favorite Wizard of Oz character is the Wicked Witch. Pushing her message in skywriting, iconic catchphrase, and even a rebrand with “Wicked”, she’s the original queen of camp marketing!

Emerald City Kickball JES James Shields III Founder Stakeholder

James E. Shields III (he/him)

Director of Stakeholder Management and Engagement (SM&E)

James, known as JES, is responsible for getting the best and maintaining satisfaction from our league’s internal stakeholders (captains, players, social chairs, etc.) and external special interest groups (other sports groups, local government, etc.). JES guides strategic messaging, best practice communications, and guiding policy direction in the interest of the league’s various stakeholders. He initiates programs to keep members of our stakeholder engage and interested in the league’s vision, value and opportunities.

JES is an engagement specialist professionally acting as Senior Community Liason for Transport for NSW. JES strategically brings disconnected people together for a common and developmental purpose. His previous role working in international development equally equipped him with technical ways to build something from the grassroots up. Now circuitously, he gets people to play in the grass.

Zack Krause (he/him)

Director of League Operations

Zack manages all aspects of playing kickball including but not limited to field reservations, equipment, game schedules, referees, and league rules and regulations of play. He’s the reason we have a game to play! An original veteran, Zack is dedicated to making the kickball on and off the field as smooth, safe, and easy as possible.

Off the kickball field, Zack works in merchandising at Endeavour Drinks, and participates in of Sydney Outfielders, an LGBTQIA+ softball league. Zack’s dedication to LGBTQIA+ organisation is no surprise as his favourite Wizard of Oz character is the Tin Man. Everyone deserves a heart and a whole lotta’ love!
