Sydney Leadership & Governance
Meet our Executive Committee
Our leadership consists entirely of volunteers responsible for the management & operations of the league
Emma Corbridge (she/her)
Director of Stakeholder Management and Engagement (SM&E)
Emma is responsible for fostering strong relationships with our stakeholders, including players, team captains, social chairs, community partners and local government. She guides strategic messaging, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and driving initiatives that align with the organisations goals and values.
Emma has extensive experience across various sectors including private and government. Her expertise lies in developing communication strategies and building relationships that foster trust and collaboration among diverse groups, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Her strength lies in understanding what different groups need and finding ways to foster strong collaboration.
She joined ECKB while looking to find new friends and connect with others who share similar interests. For queer people, having a sense of community is so important, and Emma wanted to be part of a space where she could feel supported and surrounded by like-minded people.
Victor Arambulo (they/them)
Director of Marketing and Communications
Victor facilitates Emerald City Kickball Sydney’s internal and external communications including digital channels, branding materials, collateral design, and media relations.
Victor comes with great media and marketing experience, working at Publicis Media Group, growing brands and their online presence in Australia. At Emerald City Kickball Sydney, they focus on maintaining our image and reputation through social media and public relations programs, in collaboration with other Committee members. They act as the main point of contact for any external press interactions.
On their free time, you can find Victor swimming laps at the pool, reading by the beach or out for a hike. Victor loves anything that promotes the arts, specially literature, music and festivals. They identify as a true Libra.
Rik Gardner (he/him)
Director of Finance and Membership
Rik is the leader behind our membership and financial systems. He is the one making sure registrations run smoothly, payments stay on track, and the league has the stability it needs to thrive. As Director of Membership and Finance, he ensures our LGBTIQA+ community can focus on what really matters: playing, connecting, and having fun in a safe space for our community to gather.
Rik comes with more than 18 years of experience in the finance industry. He has deep expertise across strategy, innovation, and financial management. One of Rik’s proudest achievements is designing a customer-centric hardship model tailored to support marginalised community members. It combined strategic thinking with genuine empathy, ensuring people experiencing financial vulnerability were met with understanding, flexibility, and practical solutions. That same philosophy lives in his work at ECKB: creating fair, inclusive systems that make it possible for everyone to participate, belong, and feel supported.
What Rik loves most about ECKB is the creativity and diversity that radiate through the league — the way people show up authentically, celebrate one another, and build a community that’s as joyful as it is welcoming. Whether on the field or off, he’s inspired by the spirit players bring to every interaction.
Kirk Davies (he/him)
Director of League Operations
Kirk manages all aspects of kickball Sundays. As Director of Operations, he’s the engine behind our game day magic. He oversees equipment management, referee coordination, field bookings, enforcing rules, and yes… yelling “KICKBALL!” loud enough to gather over 200 kickballers.
Off the field, Kirk works in Operations in the disability sector. Disability rights aren’t just part of his job — they’re close to his heart. He brings that same drive for accessibility and inclusion into every part of the league, ensuring ECKB is a genuinely safe and welcoming space for all.
Kirk originally joined ECKB looking for more queer friends and community, and found something even better: a community full of people who are always ready to show up. He loves how deeply players respect the space, how quick they are to help, and how eager they are to give back.
Kirk’s perfect Sunday morning consists of sitting in the sun with a croissant or a good deli sandwich and diving into fresh music releases. Kirks is also a big advocate for blood and plasma donation within the queer community. If you want to chat about accessibility, community building, music, or baked goods, Kirk is your guy.
Austen Pepper (he/him)
Ordinary Member - Events & Program Management Lead
Austen is the calm, organised force keeping the operations, and our committee on track. As Program Management Lead, he’s the one quietly weaving all the moving parts together — tracking progress, deadlines, and milestones across every sub-committee so the league runs smoothly. He’s also the mastermind behind kickball magic. From jersey purchasing, player rankings, survey, and more, Austen ensures kickballers have a fun and affirmative experience.
His experience includes spending 1 and a half years in international development for the Australian government, working in Vanuatu and the Philippines. There, he helped local organisations strengthen their tech capacity and improve land information mapping. He is well versed in project management and leading global teams. When he wasn’t hiking volcanoes or trying every local during his travels, he was developing his leadership skills and a people-centric philosophy. Austen brings that same people-centric approach everywhere he goes.
Austen joined ECKB a few years ago after realising he was craving a sense of community — specifically one that wasn’t centred solely around late nights and loud parties. Kickball turned out to be exactly that: a wholesome, joyful space where community is built around meaningful connections, in broad daylight.
